Body:	<i>It is a great sorrow to learn of dear Mark's passing: our valedictorian; baseball enthusiast and athlete; a prince among men, humble and always concerned for others; and the very model of how the already-brightest are the most eager to learn something new. Wide perspectives that underlay his researching a condition that later afflicted him were seen early in an intriguing science project (that 'went downstate' to competition at UIUC) about Drop Weights. How can we thank you, Mark, for the grace of lifelong friendship? This has been a hard week indeed, following upon the loss of our mutual friend Ned Seeman.
