68 - the new 38? 48? even 58? but certainly not 28!

So, how is being 67-68 better than younger times for you? If it is, let's hear about it. If not, maybe someone else's experiences will point you in a new and more interesting direction.
Okay, I'll go first.
1. First and only grand-child is 6 and a half. You cannot forget the 'half' at that age. And she is giving her mother all that Mom deserves and more from when Mom was a child. Sound familiar? Grandchildren are so much more fun - and so much less day-to-day aggravation. But it seems as though they do get harder to pick up every time.
2. New life with a new lady. I had gotten married much too early (1970) and I thought that I was 'marrying' her mother and father. Don't I wish. Two wonderful people. Anyway...it's never too late to change course.
3. I retired  from legal rat race several years ago. As Lily Tomlin famously said: 'The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.' I hope not always.
4. Have lots of time to read, write, travel, cycle, drink wine etc. I never realized how much I'd like 'slowing down'.
5. I met my 'new lady' on match.com 3 years ago. A friend suggested that I try it. My first reaction was 'No way.' Very glad I reconsidered.

So that's a start for this message board - lame as it might be. Many of you can undoubtedly do better.

Love your recap, George. My husband and I 'got back together' after 10 years through email. The engagement ring came by UPS and my son put it on me.  Our email interactions were so open and honest. No games. So, I have heard so many good stories about match.com that I can believe that it works.

If anyone is wondering about coming to reunion, I'd say this is the one! Several of my best friends from high school, including myself to a degree, are hindered by bad knees or hips or heads, already!  Seize this moment!
